Sneak Preview: God’s plan

#Sneakpreview Honestly, when I met Grace, I misjudged her. When I reached out to her, she said why? I had no straight answer to that, because I just felt led…She is not married, neither does she have children and she is very young! so… She doesn’t fit the criteria in my opinion. But I was not searching for my opinion, so I felt God knew why He led me to her. When she opened her mouth, I knew this is not about single, married, male or female. She said… …one of the things I battle with, is when I hear […]

what are my children learning?

What are my Children Learning?

I was doing assignment with my daughter and I came across a passage in her book and I had to really ask myself, what are they learning? The dialogue’s aim was to teach how to say thank you. it reads. Eze: Good morning Uncle Ben Uncle Ben: Eze how are you? Your bag looks heavy, come into the car let me drop you Eze: Thank you Then Eze enters the car. Immediately, I reminded my daughters do not enter anybody’s car without daddy or mummy. Do not follow anybody if mummy and daddy are not there or gives permission. What […]

Saving the sorry in a bucket for others alone...?

Saving the Sorry/Thank You in a Bucket For Others Alone…?

Daughter1: Mummy, I hit my leg… Me: sorry   Daughter2: Mummy, I hit my hand… Me: sorry   These and many more are per second complaints from the girls. All these complaint for sorry… say sorry and the issue ends. I noticed even Samuel waits for sorry when something happens… if it comes, no tears but if it doesn’t…   I have been teaching them on complimenting, appreciating others and complimenting/appreciating themselves. I told them not to expect it but acknowledge it when given. I also told them they should not only do things because they will be reward for […]

Word Fast

I just came across a book on Instagram. The Forty-Day Word Fast by Tim Cameron. And It was intriguing. I decided to check it up and it costs about ten dollars or so. That is a pretty sum right now. Since nothing can deter me when I set my mind to it. I decided to make do with the 7 days YouVersion Bible App. It’s not 40days but its a start. Till I can get my copy of the book. Word fast. hmmm… I have not heard of that before. I know you can fast off lots of things like […]

Social Media and 2017

I do not know about you but I love social media and what it has done for me in 2017. In 2016, I was among the group that regarded the internet with disdain as a cesspit of nonsense and time wasting(how myopic). But in 2017 I was fortunate enough to come across the different colours of rainbow that is the internet. It’s a virtual space that if used right… I have met a whole lot of amazing people that have been my cloud of witness and mentored me freely without even realizing it. I started my blog this year and […]

Faith stories…

Hello……. My Laptop issue has not yet been resolved… so posting has been erratic. Hoping that will be resolved soonest. Meanwhile, here are some of the Faith stories I got… Enjoy. I remember misplacing my car keys, the car was parked behind a neighbor’s car. He had an important appointment to meet up. I searched everywhere I could but didn’t find it and I was close to tears. Suddenly my 5year old daughter ran to me holding the keys. I asked her where she got it from and she said she asked the Holy Spirit for help and opened her […]

Will my Pain be Wasted?

I was studying Genesis 43. while reading about the famine. where Jacob’s children had to go to Egypt to buy grains. Something occurred to me. Despite the famine, there were not destitute. They had honey, Balm, fruits, and other dried goods. Enough to take some as gifts for Joseph. And they had money to buy the grains in Egypt, they were not managing or patching. They were healthy enough to travel to buy the grains from Egypt which is not a stone throw from Canaan, their location. Also, God knew that Famine was going to happen years earlier. And he […]

Handing over Habits

Tori my first daughter loves book and all that has to do with it. Her siblings have caught the book bug from her. For which I am grateful. She is learning to read and you do not need to encourage her. She picks up every piece of paper and tries to merge the sounds. I woke up yesterday evening from sleep to see a book I have read to them a million times pushed under my nose. “Mummy, please read it for me.” Immediately she walks into the house from school. Her first sentence is: “mummy, we have assignment.” Then […]

Goal Settings

I am part of an online prayer group at kstonecc.org. On Thursday, during one of the meetings, the organizers asked us to bring our 2018 goals to pray on them. I was like whaaa…!? This is only November. I use to write goals but I stopped somewhere but I did not see any difference. They always went unfulfilled and I stopped. I joined the New Year resolution crowd. It never passed the second week before I forgot I had a resolution to begin with. Now I am asked for my goals two months before the end of the year. Then […]

mutual downturn or investment?

I heard someone talking about how he was financially buoyant. But he lost his job and things took a turn for the worse. Without blinking twice I can count different people who have had a downturn in their finance. Myself included. There are many reasons. But the common thread that runs through most of the stories is lack of proper handling. No proper investment, the mindset that the money will keep coming. You can add a couple you know. The storyteller regaled us of his philanthropic and flamboyant lifestyle. I asked, what did you learn in all this? He looked […]
