Multi passion…multi talented

Have you ever heard people telling you, “you don’t know what you want.” Maybe because you have multiple ideas or things you want to do? I am realising as I grow there are parts of me which I discover but never knew I had. I have a book filled with fashion Illustrations for children and women clothes. These drawings are besides the other ideas I keep having and noting down. I tried sharing and I hear things like, stay with one thing… Today you say writing, you have not finished that yet, now all these things. Only you! I kept […]

Schooling Mummy… it’s a New Generation Baby!

So you know how as a child, when you ask your mother: “Mummy where should I put this or where is this? and they reply with, ” put it on my head or give you one brain reset answer or the other… Well, me I was feeling like a Mummy and decided to use that line too. Infact I have been waiting for the opportunity and it just happened to present itself. Tori and Nuggie are in the bathroom about to take their bath. Nuggie came to ask, “Mummy where is the sponge? Note: the sponge is in its usual […]

Addition, Sums and Addition

I was helping Nuggie with her sums. It’s a simple issue… Make strokes, count them all up and that is your answer… Right? Wrong! She preferred to freely give each of them an answer that felt good to her, not what the sums said. 4+3=7…she gets it correctly, but insists she will add one or two to it to make it 8 or 9. I calmly explained why that will not work. She argues a little, then agrees to write 7. We are still at number 1. You will think that will be the end of it right? You wish! […]

Samuel the Explorer…

Samuel’s Corner… Samuel the explorer/engineer is at it. We have not seen the DSTV remote control in almost a week.  . . . When you ask him, he gives you an innocent look, hands spread out like he’s  saying… “if you the ask me, na who i go ask?then with his tiny voice he replies “I don’t know o.” He is even developing a mindset of his own… Mummy stop it, (when I’m playing with him and he’s not in the mood). Or he completely ignores me or pretend to be sleeping when I am asking him a question or […]

Positioning with preparation…

…The invalid answered, “Sir, I have no one to put me in… John5:1-8 I remember while we were in school Annie Steve once saying, “the days of sitting at home, waiting for people to come to your father’s house saying; sir we saw a rose in your house that we are interested in, has passed, if you don’t go out, no one will see you. We all laughed it off then… We are so quick to say the paralysed man in this story waited for 38years but another angle I saw while studying this was, he did not wait at […]

What do you need for the multitude?

Jesus looked up and saw that a large crowd was coming toward Him, and He said to Philip, “Where will we buy bread for these people to eat?” JOHN 6:5 AMP There have been times I was in tight corners and God has in one way or the other pulled me out or through it. But next time I am in another tight place, I go back to wondering again… “How will I get out of this?” This was the case with Philip who have been following Jesus for a while, still he forgot the former miracles. I remember thinking […]

My way… Or the highway

John5:9-16 “…you can’t work on the Sabbath! It’s illegal to carry that sleeping mat!” * * Most times we are so fixated on doing things the same way… That is how it has always been done… This is the way it has been working for me… It should be like this E.t.c but…  Check out this excerpt from Francis Chan’s Crazy Love:   “Did you know that a caterpillar has 228 separate and distinct muscles in its head? That’s quite a few, for a bug. The average elm tree has approximately 6 million leaves on it. And your own heart generates […]

Holding on and Positioning to Receive

John5:1-8 I got three things from this story (Jesus and the sick man at the pool of Bethsaida). * * 1. The sick man had a reasonable excuse for not getting his healing even after 38years. The way we have a reasonable excuse for remaining where we are; no money, no long leg aka connection, the government is not paying/working well, the area where I live is not encouraging, many people are already doing the same thing, who will buy, you don’t understand my case is different… And on and on * * 2. The sick man was still there […]

I am too tired to care… But is He?

…Jacob’s well was there, and Jesus, tired as he was from the journey, sat down by the well. It was about noon. John 4:6 NIV Jesus was tired and hungry, but while He was resting this woman comes along…  Most times I love talking to myself more than people. My family and few friends are exceptions (my husband believes I am a chatterbox).  When people talk too much I tune them out, when my children are beginning to talk too much I tell them, “wow, is that so, let’s continue later okay? When I begin to talk too much, my […]
